چکیده
Background: Elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) is one of the most important factors for diagnosis and monitoring glaucoma. IOP currently only modifiable risk factor glaucoma, cornea transparent tissue covering front eye. It a powerful refracting surface, providing 2/3 eye's focusing power. The adult about 1/2 millimeter thick comprised 6 layers: epithelium, Bowman's membrane, stroma, Dua's layer, Descemet's membrance endothelium. Objectives: correlation Corneal Biomechanics (ORA) with perimetry, OCT optic nerve results in eyes primary open angle glaucoma suspect patients. Patients Methods: This study prospective cross-sectional study, ocular response analyzer parameters were measured 40 patients to their Intraocular (IOP), Perimetry coherence tomography (OCT) retinal fiber layer thickness (RNFL) on 80 eyes, ages range between 45-65 years old. was prepared seeking treatment ophthalmology polyclinic Memorial Institute Ophthalmic Researches Giza , they screened identify those Results:Our revealed that corneal biomechanics Parameters are significantly lower advanced (POAG). Conclusion: Studying essential early follow up

Correlations between Corneal Biomechanics and Glaucoma Severity in Patients with Primary Open Angle Glaucoma.
OBJECTIVES To investigate the relationship between corneal biomechanical changes and glaucoma severity in primary open angle glaucoma patients. DESIGN Correlation study. MATERIALS AND METHODS Our study included 70 glaucomatous eyes; they were divided in groups using Glaucoma Staging System Based on Humphrey Visual Field. Ocular Response Analyzer (ORA) was used in order to determine corneal ...

Primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) is an idiopathic disorder in which the resistance to outflow through the trabecular meshwork gradually increases and the intraocular pressure (IOP) rises, causing irreversible damage to the optic nerve POAG is the second most common cause of vision loss in the U.S. Usually asymptomatic until advanced visual field loss has occurred; less than 50% of those...

AIM To determine correlation between central corneal thickness (CCT) and applanation intraocular pressure (IOP) in normal patients with primary open angle glaucoma and patients with ocular hypertension. METHODS Two-year retrospective study designed to determine correlation between CCT and IOP. Records of 121 patients were included in the study. Inclusion criteria were: IOP higher than 22 mm H...
